Early 20th Century, circa 1920s The radio measures approx 7 inches (180mm) wide, by 7 1/4 inches (185mm) deep, by 6 1/4 inches (155mm) tall. It has a mahogany case, with a bakelite control panel. The bakelite panel is marked G. Reg: No 339 and is in good condition, with no cracks. Chip to glass crystal cover, slip of wood replaced on top right of cabinet, (see photos). Vintage Crystal Radio from the 1920s in good working condition with Brunet Type F headphones Paris. This set is still in very original condition except for the back plate is missing and replaced with a piece of cardboard. The circuit is basic but works well. The crystal detector and cat’s wisker is enclosed to the left. The multiple tap on the coil improves selectivity. Original homemade sets from this era are very collectable and becoming harder to aquire. Last photos taken from The Listener In Wireless Journal of Victoria Jan. This is a great VINTAGE VALVE RADIO In my estimation it dates from around the early 20th Century, circa 1920s, but please make up your own mind about this. The instrument measures approx 9 1/2 inches (240mm) long, by 6 1/2 inches (165mm) deep, by 12 inches (300mm) tall, including the valve. The bakelite panel is in good condition. The knob turns freely. This radio has been tested and is functioning as it should. I love the Lafayette CB radio collection and have a few here so here goes. You must provide your own microphone. I spent a little time on the air with this unit before listing it. If you are interested in tube type cb radios like me, you can add this one to your collection. The ears good and the modulation is good. I used my personal D-104 which is not included in this sale. I think that it could use a little tuning but it is still alright. Up for sale here we have a Vintage Lafayette Comstat 25B 23 Ch Vacuum Tube Crystal CB Radio Base Station. We found this gem at a recent estate sale. The original owner still had it hooked up and we tested it our before purchasing. The radio is in good working condition and has been fully tested. It shows some normal signs of age/use, but looks pretty good for its age. The plastic over the meter has some spiderwebbing, but it doesn’t affect the functionality.
