Vintage 1950s Crosley Bakelite 11-103U Red Orange Bullseye Radio Works! . This item is in excellent working vintage condition. It is showing some signs of age, use, and shelf wear. The bakelite has no damage, cracks, or chips. The color remains vibrant. We plug it in, took about 5 seconds for the tube to warm up and picked up local radio stations. Vintage 1953 Crosley Tube Radio with a Bakelite Painted Green case, model E-20 GN. Good condition and Looks all original on outside, paint has some wear and metal trim has some oxidation. Radio powers on, picked up some stations in the Bay area. Dials work to adjust volume and tune stations, hums a bit while on (unsure if I was picking up another powered source or if its the radio itself). Have not opened it up or serviced it but it came out of a radio enthusiasts collection (i will be listing a few more radios as well). In sum, does work but should be gone through/tuned before use. I just got this Crosley JC 6 back from the repair shop. It works fine now. Its a clock radio too. They gave me a used cheater cord to go along, since I didnt have one. They told me it was from 1955 or 56. The leatherettte is in fine condition. The wire legs certainly were a feature of many of the items of that time. Its a mid century dandy. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE 1951 CROSLEY 11-103 – U Tube Radio Rare Orange Color. Orange bakelite cover is in good condition for its age. There are a couple of small blemishes. Please see the pictures. I have no idea if this radio works. I took the back cover off and the tubes are there and the cord appears original. I did not plug it in because I have read that you should not just plug one in. Vintage Crosley Model 167 tombstone radio that is a good candidate for restoration.. Radio only emits a loud hum when turned on, so the caps will need to be replaced. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. Unfortunately, there are few pieces of veneer missing in the front – most notably top center and just above the dial indicator and to the right of the indicator. Power cord is in good condition and apoears to be new and the grill cloth has a few small tears – top center. Great looking Art Deco radio that will be a fine addition to your collection.
