The item for sale today is a Vintage Crosley Radio. It is a Bakelite Tube Radio made in the USA from the 1940s. The front light bulb works! The radio is used is used with wear from previous use and old age. It has a few markings and scratches from previous use. I have tested the radio and it turns on and plays different stations. It does take a second to warm up and turn on. But other than that, it is in good working condition! Antique Bakelite Crosley Bullseye Green Vintage Tube Radio , Working radio. Radio is working when tested. Random stations come up when dial is adjusted. Reception on radio is variable according to time of day and location you live in. Some background buzzing noise on certain stations when turning volume up. Electrical cord sometimes has to be wiggled at end plug (wire must be loose). Overall radios it seems to work well for its age. I’m sent photos of the back of the radio showing the tubes lighting up when operating. Radio has been in the family for many years and it’s time for a new owner. DESCRIPTION – 15/20/15/15 Js closed. Crosley Chartreuse 1950′s Vintage Dashboard D-25CE Tube clock/radio. So-called a “dashboard radio” because the features are similar to the appearance of a 50′s automobile dashboard, this radio was manufactured in 1950s. Mint green plastic case. WORKS- radio tested and works; stations tune in and there is some “static” as expected from a radio this age everything appears original. The tubes or any other components. Of their nature and age they may stop working at any time. Clock works and keeps time well; alarm works; unknown if “sleep” function works, as I do not know how to test; alarm turns on radio and the outlet on the side to turn an appliance rated at not more than 1100 Watts. This outlet will only accept nonpolarized plugs. It also has an RCA jack on the back to input a monaural phonograph and a switch on the back to select the phono input. I did not have the phonograph to test it. Still has the original manufacture label under side model # D25SCE, with 5 tube layouts. Rated at 117 volts, AC 60 cycles, 35 Watts. It has an Art Deco flair that would make a great show piece in your collection. It measures: 13 ¼ wide x 7 ½ tall x 7 deep. It weighs 8 ½ Lbs. Great vintage condition: working radio, alarm appliance outlet. The case and dials are in great condition. I DO MY BEST TO DESCRIBE EVERY LISTING B. This radio was bench tested and it powers on. White noise or static on all channels. Volume varies with knob. A real radio person could probably easily fix! Great patina, original knobs, dial moves and functions as designed. I did NOT doing any cleaning on the radio, original patina is original patina! I’m sure a good outside cleaning job would make worlds of difference! No chips or cracks. Looks like original power cord has had the plug changed???
