Up for sale is a Vintage 1950′s Crosley Dashboard Tube Clock Radio model D-25WE. This radio has been tested and picks up some static as well as a few stations. The clock also works as well. The space needle on the station dial doesn’t’t turn when turning the tuning knob. Some scuffs and scratches on the case as well. May need some TLC. Otherwise still a very nice piece! Don’t miss out! Vintage, made in the USA in 1937! The dial light does not come in but the radio reception is decent here in Seattle, WA. No cracks in the case, but there are a few scuffs/knicks. Nothing major at all considering this radio’s age+.
Old Crosely Vintage 5-ver Tube Radio. Features a walnut case with bakelite knobs. This guy is from the 1930s or 40s, WWII era. I would definitely rewire before plugging in and testing. The wire is brittle and has original plug, which is not to code. It has obvious signs of wear. Scuffs and scratches to case, some paint splashes on top. Missing back plate, missing one knob. Dusty, and needs cleaning. Would be a good prop or display item as is, or a fun refurb project. Nice collectible piece for vintage radio lovers measures: 10″ x 7″ × 12.5.
This is a nice 1946 Crosley 66TC radio known as the “American Overseas”. Cabinet has the original finish and apart from one very small repair in the veneer on the right side, it is in very nice original condition. The electronics were serviced several years ago with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced, and the radio plays well. There is some noise when tuning, most likely due to a dusty tuning capacitor. The radio has been on a shelf on display for several years. I believe the speaker was replaced in the distant past, possibly when the radio was fairly new. White Plastic Case (possibly bakelite). 7″ H x 12 1/2″ W x 6 1/2 D. Condition: minor wear commensurate with age and use (minor paint chips, some mild scuffs/scratches, slight discoloration throughout). This unit is UNTESTED/UNRESTORED. It will likely need re capping to be fully functional. All original electronics appear to be present and powers up. I hear it change frequencies when tuning. Please thoroughly review all photos to fully evaluate condition.

You are viewing a great example of a post war radio from Crosley. The cabinet has been polished with my 4-step process that brings out the original factory finish. The dial cover was warped, and I was able to get it back to fit as best as possible since replacements are not available. The deep brown Bakelite machine age cabinet and lighted dial give it an outstanding look. The knobs, back and label are original. Check out the photos! FM uses a wire that just hangs off of the back and also has terminals for an extra FM antenna. It easily picks up stations up and down the dial. Thoroughly bench tested for a minimum of ten days, this unique radio is ready for you to use and enjoy. Since it is fully restored you will want to listen to it every day! I went through the chassis and replaced all the electrolytic (filter) capacitors, the major cause of hum. I then replaced all the wax/paper capacitors. The resistors were then checked and any more than 20% of their original value were replaced. All eight tubes were tested. Using my Precision 612 tube tester. And one was replaced. The volume control, tone control, band selector switch, and tuning capacitor were lubed so they now operate smoothly and quietly. I also replaced the power cord with a polarized cord for your safety. I then carefully cleaned and polished the chassis to a pleasing luster. He intermediate and radio frequency circuits were aligned to their peak utilizing my HP 8601A RF sweep generator and my B&K Precision Model 177 VTVM. This will be a great addition to anyone’s collection. If you are in. Please wait for my invoice with the correct cost. Please remember, although this radio has been restored to its original specs, it is still a vintage radio that employs vintage technology. At the time it was manufactured it was not subject to the tremendous amount of RF interference that is generated today from computers, flat screen TVs, high-speed cable modems, light dimmers, etc. Careful placement of the radio is essential to minimize audio interference. It is my experience that different parts of my home will give me better reception than others. Some experimenting may be necessary for best reception.

This radio is in excellent condition for the age, but does have some minor marks and scratches. There are a few chips going around the circle part of the front and the one dial isn’t working or staying on properly. I pictured it and what it looks like on the inside where it would go. The cord looks good. The radio does not work, but I just plugged it in and did not do anything else. I know nothing about the tubes or getting it to work.
