This radio is over 70 years old and it is in very nice condition. There are no cracks or chips in the cabinet. It does play but not very well. With the volume turned up I got it to play 5 different stations. It may need an antenna connected for better reception. The knobs are original and in excellent condition. There are no replaced parts, and no repairs. The radio is part black and part marbelized green. If you find this item interesting please check my other auctions. Electronics were restored, new capacitors added, tubes checked. Original power cord and a new replacement back added. Plays well and picks up many stations. Dial lights up nicely in the dark. Jetsons like future design. No cracks to the case. Case was cleaned and polished. Rare to find these without cracks and only made for one year. 1946 Vintage Fada Bullet 1000 Catalin Radio – No cracks – Restored and Works great! Electronics restored, new capacitors added, tubes checked. Original power cord and back. Plays well and picks up many stations. Dial lights up nicely in the dark. Newly added grill cloth & plastic dial cover as these were badly damaged. Catalin case was wet sanded with very fine grit sandpaper to eliminate marks. No cracks to the case. Will gradually revert back to the darker butterscotch color.
