Vintage 1928 Atwater Kent Model E3 Tabletop Radio Speaker – Excellent Fabric & Intact Internal Cone. For sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Atwater Kent Model E3 magnetic cone speaker from approximately 1928. This classic piece of early radio history features the iconic round, floral-patterned metal grille with the original central gold “Atwater Kent” emblem. Internal Cone: The internal paper cone is completely intact, which is incredibly rare for a speaker of this vintage. Cosmetics: The exterior housing and floral metal grille are in great cosmetic shape for their age, displaying beautiful vintage character and finish. The front grille fabric is clean and well-preserved. This heavy cast-metal speaker stands roughly 13 inches tall and is the perfect period-correct companion for an Atwater Kent Model 40, 42, or other late 1920s tube radio receivers. Up for sale is a VINTAGE 1920′S CHICAGO METRO ELECTRIC CO. This comes as you see it in great condition for it’s age. Cone on back has some staining as shown but no cracks or rips that i see. Cord has wear as shown and is recommended to be replaced the bottom felt came off can be glued back on. It looks like bottom says No. Very nice piece that will display nicely on top of an old radio. This model doesn’t come up for sale very often. This will be professionally packaged up at UPS.
