The cosmetic condition is very good! There are some scratches on the top. Maybe the grille cloth is not original but I’m not sure. It’s a really unique find in this condition! This is the gem of Canadian radios a fully restored, bakelite Addison model R5A1 complete with Deco waterfall front, manufactured in 1947/8. It is just a very attractive radio and of course super collectable. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy the sound is very good with no hum. This radio likes to play Etta James. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the capacitors have been replaced and the cord has been replaced with an utilizes a polarized plug. This radio was originally painted white when I stripped it and found a pristine a peanut butter coloured cabinet. It has a small pink dot on the top the resulted when the cabinet was manufactured. No other marks, scrapes or scratches. Except for the changed electronics and paint, this radio is all original it even has its original antenna wire with holder. Its astounding to find one in this wonderful condition that why it was in my personal collection. It features deco styling, three pinwheel knobs, logos still present on the bottom and the original dial is still very clear. It measures: 10 across, 5 wide and 5.75 high. This radio will give years of good service. Every radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. Zenith 6S-532 tube radio from 1940. The cabinet is in very, very, great condition! Its missing the back cover, but has the full Zenith Antenna system plugged in, all tubes are present. Hard to find tone controls are there in great shape also. Original and in great condition. Dial lamps and tubes light up when powered on, but no sound. Dial cord is still good and I show 2. Pictures to indicate 1/3 and 2/3 of dial coverage. If you are in need of a beautiful looking radio to restore, this is it. It looks beautiful just as it is!
