The Senior 23 was known as the Cadillac of the early polytronics line. The call message lamp is a broken off on front panel and the rear panel has paint splatter otherwise extremely clean for this vintage (1963) The front panel on unit has clean crisp lettering. All knobs, switches/controls move freely. I closed my vintage tube CB radio museum in 2007 and was reluctant to part with these pieces of communication history however it’s time for other collectors to enjoy as I did. I took pictures from various angles, please look at all the photos so that you know what you are getting. It looks beautiful from across the room as a decorative radio, however up close the finish shows spots and unevenness which can be seen in the photos when you zoom in. See that it has been patched in the corner near the back. Be sure to look at that photo from the top showing the back, and the E openings, one of them was repaired, and looks different from the rest of the wood. Three of the louvers are not original. The back cover is something I made in my garage. The power cord is new, and so is the dial string, the rectifier tube has been changed, I think it is new old stock, and one other tube was changed. The filters are new, the wax capacitors have been changed. I picked up a few local radio stations in my area. You would need to extend the supplied antenna wire, or install your own antenna connection. From 1938 to 1940. Walnut Ingraham cabinet, that measures approximately 10.5 ×6.25 ×4.50 inches. What does everyone’s baseball collection need? This vintage Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris radio of course. Here is an awesome collectible radio with the figure of a baseball player on the front. This is a small sized vintage tube radio measuring just 7 inches X 5 1/4 inches X 4 1/2 inches with the knobs. The cabinet with original finish is in great shape showing only very minimal wear and still holds a nice shine. The dial with a tuning knob shape like a baseball bat are in great shape. The on/off volume knob is shaped like a baseball diamond is also in great shape. The back is in good shape. There is a mark on the top of the radio as pictured. There is also some wear around the on/off knob as pictured. None of this distracts from the beauty of this very collectible radio. The chassis has been repaired and plays great. The radio plays great picking up several local stations with great volume. This a beautiful and well cared for radio. It needs nothing but a new home. This a radio needs played and displayed. RETURN IF NOT AS ADVERTISED. These are hard to find as they were small and inexpensive and most were just tossed in the trash when they quit working or were replaced by a more sophisticated set. The “Pup” uses A regenerative circuit that works quite well. Battery requirements (when using the correct tube – WD or WX-12) is 1.5 V “A” supply & 22.5 V “B”, It will also work well with a UV or UX-201A. This one is a nice looking Crosley Pup. Has a small ding on one side, but other than that, looks good. You can see the ding in the second picture — minor but I wanted to point it out. Appears to have original paint, with a few minor chips missing here/there. Take a look at photos and decide for yourself. All knobs turn/function as they should. Label on bottom (often missing) is in place and quite readable. Has the labels on the various power wires. Please note: no tube(s) are included in this sale. Bought from a local dealer and was told that it worked. He seemed reputable but since I don’t have the power supply to check it out, no guarantees are made about if it works or not. That said, I checked the grid leak resistor — it’s fine. Checked the wire wound filament rheostat — it’s fine. Made sure the mica “sheet” was present — it is. WORKING CROSLEY PUP RADIO. WITH ORIGINAL BOX (NOT A REPRO–IT’S ORIGINAL). RETURN IF NOT AS ADVERTISED. THIS ONE GOES WAY, WAY BACK. OVERALL IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. NO MYSTERY HOLES, WIRES, PARTS, ETC. I FOUND ONE VERY MINOR DING ON IT. IT’S ALONG THE TOP EDGE IN THE FIRST PHOTO. YOU NEED TO LOOK CLOSELY TO SEE IT IN THE PHOTO. CERTAINLY NOT A BIG ISSUE–BUT YOU DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. AND AS MENTIONED, THIS ONE WORKS! TOOK PIX OF ALL SIDES. THE LABEL ON THE BOTTOM IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND HAS NOT PEELED OFF AS MANY DO. THE BOX–AS YOU CAN SEE–HAS SOME STAINING ON IT AND SOME WATERMARKS. SOMEONE ALSO WROTE “RADIO” ON ONE OF THE FLAPS. THAT SAID, SURPRISINGLY THE BOX IS VERY SOUND AND USABLE. PLEASE NOTE: WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. CHECK THE VARIOUS FORUMS BUT YOU WILL NEED A UX 201A OR EQUIVALENT. NOT MUCH MORE NEED BE SAID. WILL OBVIOUSLY PACK THE BOX IN A BOX AND WILL PAD WELL.
