Vintage 1933 General Electric K-52 Cathedral Tube Radio Original. Powers up but no reception. Looks to be all original and in very good condition. Overall the case is in excellent shape. There is s gouge in the trim on the left side (see the closeup) and a couple chips on the right side. Cloth is in one piece but detached at the top. Cord is intact but is missing some of the cloth in spot. 14 inches tall, 11.5 inches wide and 8 deep. See photo’s for condition. It was pulled directly from an estate. This art deco radio receiver does light up when plugged in, but it just hums. It has bakelite knobs and a wood exterior. It does have its original cloth cord! There are a number of scratches and marks in the wood exterior, but overall it looks to be in good condition! Please refer to the photos for details. The radio measures 16″ x 11″ x 18. Antique US Apex Tube Radio RARE Cathedral Tombstone Skyscraper Art Deco Vintage. For your consideration today we have this very rare, US Apex Tube Cathedral radio. It has a wonderful feel of both art nouveau and art deco design as it has characteristics of both. It is untested and needs to have the cord replaced. Measurements are approximately 19 1/2″ tall by 16″ wide and 11 deep. It features a very ornate cabinet with birds-eye maple inlay and swirling design. It has a wonderful dial plate that appears to be copper with the US APEX logo. It has some missing wood at its base and a crack along the upper right side on the side of the cabinet and general wearing from age. Please see all photos for best description of this radio. The original gold-tan fabric that protects the speaker is in very nice shape and it has all of the tubes in its housing. That accompanied with some wonderful bakelite knobs make this a very desirable piece. This radio will make an excellent addition to a collection or a very special gift. Don’t miss out on this one! JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE LOTS OF ANTENNA. GRILL CLOTH IN VERY NICE CONDITION APPROX SIZE: 19″ HIGH 17″ WIDE 16 DEEP. I DID NOT HAVE A LOT OF AERIAL BUT WAS ABLE TO GET SOME SHORTWAVE BROADCASTS.
