Vintage Philco Model 44 Cathedral radio that has been electronically restored to some extent, but is not functioning – appears that more work needs to be done. Photo shows that most of the caps have been replaced, but when the radio was turned on, there was a distinct odor, indicating that something burned out. However, it will probably not take much more to get the radio functioning. Radio has Broadcast, Police, Shortwave and Amateur bands, each of which light up when the dial is turned. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There are few spots where the veneer has bubbled up, but overall the appearance is very good. All of the dials turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. Grill cloth has no rips or holes and the cloth power cord is in excellent condition. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
