Vintage Tom Thumb Camera Radio Tubes Automatic Radio Mfg. First off this should be considered a displayable collectible, it hasnt been tested and may need work to function properly. The condition is very good, obviously not perfect but an excellent example of a rare and unusual camera/radio. Theres a handful of these available but what makes this one unique is its prior ownership. This was once part of the Grant M. Haist collection which was rather large and included a wide variety of cameras, slide and film projectors. The camera/radio measures approximately 9 x 4 x 4 and weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. The strap is in good condition and the shutter appears to function as intended. The following is from his obituary. Quite a fascinating man to say the least. Grant Haist was Senior Research Associate at the Eastman Kodak Research Laboratories in Rochester, New York for 32 years before retiring in 1983. He was active in both technical matters and photographic affairs. He has 28 U. Patents, two books and many technical articles. His photographic work has appeared in National Geographic, National Wildlife, Smithsonian, Kodak Publications and numerous other publications. Fellowships from Royal Society of Great Britain, Photographic Society of America and Society for Imaging Science and Technology have honored his accomplishments. Grant began collecting cameras and photographic books in 1969 and has through the years amassed an extensive collection of Kodak cameras and equipment and Kodak Literature.
