For your consideration, a tough to find, highly collectable and very much sought after bakelite radio manufactured by Crosley. This radio is, because of its shape, commonly known as the Bullseye. The model number is 11-117U. The cabinet is in great condition with original paint and only has a few flea bites in it. No breaks, cracks or chips. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy the sound is very good with no hum – it is playing as I write this. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the capacitors have been replaced. The cord has been replaced with a polarized plug. It features 1950s atomic design, the bullseye grill, original back and knob. The dimensions are: 11 across, 6 high and 6 wide. This radio will give years of good service. Every radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description. Restored Crosley Bullseye 1951 Atomic Age vintage tube radio. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the capacitors have been replaced and the core is new and has a polarized plug. A very clean and original 1951 Crosley Green Bakelite Bullseye Tube Radio. Radio powers on, both dials operate, and I picked up a few stations on the Bay Area. Radio has not been serviced, please keep this in mind and I would recommend it for daily use. Overall, Very good condition for age with normal wear from use. Has a fine hairline on the leftside of the case as pictured; it does not protrude to the ends of the case, and does not compromise the integrity of the case. Ships well packed and fully insured. This Crosley Bullseye Tube Radio is beautiful! There are no cracks chips or breaks. The radio has been electronically restored and has a new power cord. Takes just a minute for the tubes to warm up then plays normally across the dial with stations coming in loud and clear. The case has been repainted in a beautiful bright red color that really pops. There is a very slight run in the paint on the top of the radio that looks more like a reflection. Otherwise the paint looks really really well done. Would make a nice addition to any collection! VINTAGE 1938 EMERSON INGRAHAM BULLSEYE RADIO. Absolutely Stunning & Rare. Art Deco Antique Tube Radio. Excellent Condition with a beautiful walnut Ingraham wood cabinet! This radio makes a stunning display and is highly sought after by Collectors. The Emerson Model AX-212, “Little Miracle, ” has a wooden cabinet that Emerson said, “issued in a new type of styling, ” and that came either in a walnut veneer or in a curly maple veneer. This cabinet has a walnut veneer and four distinctive green inlaid stripes across the top and sides of the cabinet. The Ingraham Company, a prominent Connecticut clock-making firm, designed this unusual cabinet for Emerson for its Model AX-212. This company had developed an outstanding capability for making plywood cabinets in complex shapes. Emerson described this process relating to their radios as “Stay-Bent” cabinet construction. This model uses either metal or GT glass tubes. The metal tubes used are one each of the following: 6A8 oscillator, 6K7 IF amplifier, 6Q7 detector, AVC and amplifier, 25L6 beam power output and 25Z6 half wave rectifier. The chassis and tubes can be seen in Figure 4. The IF is 455 Kc. And the radio will tune one band — the broadcast band from 540 to 1730 KC. A resistive line cord is also used. The original cord has been cut and the electronics should be updated if you plan on using the radio. Also, there is a small pinhole in the clear plastic dial bezel lens. It’s hard to see, but it is there. (reproduction lenses are readily available). Otherwise, a stunning Emerson Bullseye Radio with very few issues. EMERSON 1938 BULLSEYE BULLET VINTAGE VACUUM TUBE RADIO #AX-212. This is one beautiful and popular little set. These came in in walnut or maple; this example is a beautiful burl walnut. All caps have been replaced and the set still retains its original resistor line cord and is safe to use. The cabinet was refinished in a beautiful lacquer finish, and looks just as it did in 1938. These sets are very collectable and you wont find a better example than this one. Note the beautiful green inlays across the top and down the sides; they don’t get any more Deco than these little sets. This is a nice example of a very desirable radio. Designed by the famous designer Saknoffsky and the cabinet crafted by the famed Ingraham Cabinet, makes this radio a must have. The radio is a “All American Five” chassis, with a fine five tube super-het, broadcast band only profile. The radio had a very good early refinish, protecting the detailed green pin striping to the cabinet. The condition is very fine, with a dramatic toning of the circular grille. My technician has done a complete repair returning the radio to its factory new performance. His work was very thorough and he has added a new power cord and plug for your safe use. Like the cabinet restoration the work is excellent. The radio is very compact at 9-1/2″W x 5-3/4″H x 4D. DISPLAY, PLAY, AND ENJOY! Vintage 1940′s Crosley Model 11-118U “bullseye” tube radio. Small size only measures 9 wide. It does power up and hums but i couldn’t get it to tune in any stations… Maybe needs new tubes? Both original knobs work good. Original decal on bottom. Please see pics for condition. Maybe someone would like for their collection.
