1937 Broadcasting, All This Radio is Missing Is. If you are looking for a restored old-time tube radio that can be played as often as you like and for as long as you like, please read on. You are viewing a totally restored. This radio set has been restored to it’s original condition and is ready to bring another lifetime’s listening pleasure to it’s proud new owner. You will be satisfied with this radio set because no detail inside OR outside has been overlooked in order to deliver both “dependable performance” and appealing cabinetry. Every effort has been made to offer a practically new radio, performing as it did originally, and to be maintenance free for quite some time. The wood cabinet is in exceptional condition without any cracks, delamination of veneers, or patch-job repairs. The cabinet has been refinished in traditional manner using linseed oil varnish to bring out the texture of the veneers and impart a soft shine. Brand new dial cover and volume control. Lit-up, the original embossed station dial is just spectacular! This model measures 12″ X 6″ X 8high. The Chassis & Transformer have been cleaned and polished to newness; NO SILVER PAINT USED ON ANYTHING I SELL. The electronics inside the chassis are in superb working condition after a thorough overhaul. Yes, the dial string is new as well as the AC power line cord. The new speaker cloth is an understated period reproduction especially chosen not to avert the eye’s attention away from the dramatic dial face or cabinet. This radio uses 5 tubes. All 5 tubes are “new old stock” and the dial light bulb is new and rated at 3000 hours. A very thorough restoration job sums it all up. Check out all the photos. The radio plays just great. Radios from 1937 did not yet utilize loop antennas; they received their station signals from a single wire aerial which I will provide for you to attach to the antenna post on the back of the chassis (see photo). Albeit, the longer the aerial antenna, the better the reception. You will notice there are no screw holes in the rear of the cabinet for any back attachment. Following the restoration, all radio circuits were re-tuned to their specification using instrumentation. Thoroughly bench tested, this vintage Delco radio set is ready for it’s new home. This radio is heavy as it is constructed from a thick wood cabinet and heavy old fashioned metal chassis. I will double box using new cartons so that your new radio arrives undamaged in transit. The item “1937 Restored Vintage Delco AM Broadcast Table Radio OUTSTANDING” is in sale since Wednesday, November 28, 2018. VTG (1928) Philco 513 Hand-Painted LABRADOR GRAY Tube Radio Broadcast Receiver

This is the Labrador Gray version of the Philco 511 series of radios! The metal cabinet was designed by Hollingsworth Pearce and it was hand-painted under the supervision of Mademoiselle Messaros! Philco promoted these sets by proclaiming. Now, for the first time, radio in color. Vivid colors to harmonize with your home. As you can see from the pictures, the radio is in really good shape for being 90 years old. Th ere are some minor paint scratches and wear in places like you might expect on a piece from this era. I believe that this radio is 100% original, or very close if not. The interior looks good bu t I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. I was told that the radio works but I did not plug it in as I do not have the proper equipment to turn this radio on slowly. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. It is the Nile Green Philco 214 speaker also very rare! Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. The item “VTG (1928) Philco 513 Hand-Painted LABRADOR GRAY Tube Radio Broadcast Receiver” is in sale since Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The original AC power cord became brittle and broke off so the radio will need a new power cord. He wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks really nice. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Again, I do not have the proper equipment to test this radio any further. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. The pictures were taken later in the day so the flash kicked in! Just a FYI on why some of the pics look a little more shiny. The radio powers on when plugged in and turned on. I was able to hear a low hum and some static. It was not hooked up to an external antenna. He backlit dial light works nicely and looks awesome when lit up! He tombstone-shaped wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks really nice. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. There is some play in a couple of the knobs I think they just need the small metal inserts to help grab on to the shafts. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. The pictures were taken later in the day so the flash kicked in! Antique Silvertone radio wood tube R1261 vintage 1940 Broadcast Shortwave Sears

Beautiful 1940 Sears Roebuck Silvertone model R1261 and chassis 100.351. From what I was reading, it has both broadcast and shortwave bands. Looks to be all original but be sure to check out the pictures. Missing the back panel. The outside is pretty clean and still in good shape. Only minor signs of age. A few light wear marks. The grill fabric is in good shape with a few water marks. The tuner has some yellowing which is usual. The unit was plugged in with no sound. Nothing further was tested. It may need a tube replaced. It will not take much at all to get this one sounding great. 18″ wide, 10 1/4″ tall, and 8 1/2 deep. If you need for me to look this information up for you, I can, just let me know. It will be protected well and insured. Let me know if you have questions. The radio does power on as it should and I was able to hear a hum and some static. It was not hooked up to an external antenna. The backlit dial looks works well and looks AWESOME! All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. The wood cabinet is nice and solid and the original finish looks great! There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era, including some minor veneer loss on the top of the radio. All of the original knobs are pres ent. As you can see from the. Pictures, the chassis looks clean, but the radio has been in storage for many years, so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Looks like some restoration was done at some point as there is a newer (than 1933) plug and a Zenith speaker. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. This set would look very nice in any vintage themed room or in your collection! Please be sure to check out my other listings as I have several other vintage radios for sale! The plug on the AC power cord has worn off of the cord (see picture) so that will need to be repaired or replaced. As such, I did not try to power on this radio. He metal cabinet is nice and solid and the painted finish looks nice. There are some imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. Both of the dials/switches seem to be working as they should be. The back fits nicely onto the cabinet. You can see where it has been pried open over the years. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio had been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Best of all the original coin-op mechanism is present as well! My guess is that with a little TLC, this radio could be up and running very soon!
