I’m getting nothing but static but could be three fact that there is no antenna. One channel came in slightly. The clock does work and the knobs all work. The two knobs located in the clock lens are missing and there is a hairline crack along top side. Needs a mid thorough cleaning as i rescued it from a barn.

Picked this up in a local estate. There is a side of the casing that was broken off. I taped it back on. You can see it in 3rd and 4th photos. We plugged it in. It buzzes, but can’t find the channel. Assuming it will need quite a bit of work. This is one of the most intricate awesome pieces of radio history you’ll find. But it is not perfect. It will need work and it does have some cosmetic damage as you can see. But it is a beautiful rare color that you probably won’t see again.

Bel-Air Blue And White Vintage Classic! Works, I tested it. This radio utilizes vacuum tubes. Once you turn it on, it takes about 15-20 seconds to warm up, the sound is awesome! Made in Chicago USA. I see no cracks in body. Knobs show tarnished patina. Large knob is tight. Small knob has a little give to it. A few random scratches or knicks, nothing major or noticeable. I see a tiny flea bite near on the front left side, hard to notice. As far as I know this radio is all original. Needs a detailed cleaning in a few areas, the speaker cover, some dust. Original cable, all original. Smoke and pet free environment.

Knobs are aftermarket only. Left bottom front has surface stretch mark. It is not a crack since it is not a trough crack. It is not seen in real life. Works factory Perfect All station are in place place, loud clear, recapped. All stations in place. Speaker has few mm hole repaired. We can not guaranty it works for many years? However it may work for so many years.. It can stop working any time just by standing on shelf. So if it stops working “tomorrow” we will not. Repair it again, Those 80 years old radios can stop working. Dial cord / rope is New, Dial Lens is New. A power cord is about 3+ foot it has display demo oriented length. Original molded glossy pastel powder blue plastic. All original factory molded colors. No repaint, no over spray no touch. The silver grill does have some discoloration, as shown in the pictures. Original factory matching volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition with no cracks. The “Bulova” logo is in excellent condition. 4 lb 7 oz.

Knock- out beautiful vintage Majestic Bakelite radio model 5 LA 7 / 5 LA 8 with custom lacquer paint. Velvet smooth Steel Blue metallic lacquer body with Polo White (cream) lacquer louvers, makes this radio a stand-out in any fine vintage radio collection! A one of a kind art piece. We first started with a perfect bakelite cabinet. No cracks, no chips, no excuses. Then expertly finished with automotive lacquer primer and lacquer painted then polished to perfection. Beautiful original (perfect) reverse painted real glass dial. Original rare faceted crystal clear acrylic matching knobs. Radio powers on but only static. Radio will need repairs to play. One small fine scratch on the top at the right rear- see photos. This is a rare radio and not often found. Please inspect all photos and ask questions.
