Vintage Art Deco 1940s BENDIX Solid 360 Bakelite Case- AM/FM 6-Tube Radio

This Radio is a great candidate for restoration. The case is in great shape with a metal grill and a unique thick bakelite wrap around case with built in handle. The base drops out to remove the electrical chassis. United States of America (USA). Bendix Radio Division; Baltimore, MD. Category: Broadcast Receiver – or past WW2 Tuner. 6: 12BA6 12AT7 12BA6 12BA6 19T8 50L6. Semiconductors (the count is only for transistors). Super-Heterodyne (Super in general); ZF/IF 455/10700 kHz; 2 AF. Broadcast (BC) and FM or UHF. Power type and voltage. AC/DC-set / 105 – 120 Volt. LS Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn) Loudspeaker (moving coil) / Ø 6 inch = 15.2 cm. 2.4 W (unknown quality). Model: 75P6U – Bendix Radio Division. Tablemodel, with any shape – general. 13 x 8.63 x 8.63 inch / 330 x 219 x 219 mm. The rest of the chassis family, 75B5, 75M8 and 75W5 (probably also 75M5) are consoles with phono. We don’t know the difference between 75P6 and 75P6U. Net weight (2.2 lb = 1 kg). 6.8 kg / 14 lb 15.6 oz (14.978 lb). Vintage 1940s Bendix 526C Catalin Radio Black Brown Swirled Green Art Deco Style. Produced in 1946 by the Bendix Corporation, the Art Deco-style 526c, is one of the most sought after of Bendix radios. The case is molded catalin, the more colorful cousin of Bakelite. Capable of AC and DC power. Size: 7″ x 7″ x 11. Color: The Front is black and the cover and knobs seem to be brown, The interor of the Radio is a swirled Green. Condition: The radio appears to be all original, including the knobs, rubber feet, and bottom label. The Front left side has a small repair done to the cabinet, Last Photo. Other than that, The shiny cabinet shows no chips, scratches, tube burns, or other damage. There is no back to the radio. The Radio needs a new Cord. The Radio has not been tested. See Photos for Details. The deteriorated cord will have to be replaced before the radio can be tested. The radio is in very good condition for its Age. Ready for a tune up or display. Vintage Bendix Model 114 Polystyrene AM All American 5 Tube Radio

Vintage Bendix Deco Radio. Bendix 114 in Swirled Brown Polystyrene Art Deco Bendix Tube Radio made circa 1946. The model 114 shares the same design as the Catalin 526C version made by Bendix and it is an unusual design made of four pieces of Polystyrene. This radio is extremely stylish with the marbleized brown cabinet and contrasting tan front. This swirled brown with white and tan is a color seldom found in plastic radios. This radio has both a unique design and construction. The swirled brown top and sides are molded into one U-shaped piece that fits down over the tan piece which forms the front and base of the radio highlighted with its five streamline horizontal grooves that stretch across the front of the radio. The two rounded corner pieces that bolt onto either side of the dial are a unique feature unlike anything found on any other radio. Radio is in beautiful original condition and retains a beautiful natural gloss that shows off the marbleized color. The Polystyrene sections and trim are in very excellent original condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. The cabinet has a tiny little spot on top- looks maybe ash from someone’s cig. It is less than 1/16. Can be seen in photo 5. The original gold and red dial plastic is also in perfect condition. Radio measures approximately 11″ Wide x 7″ High x 6 Deep. Up for sale is a great old radio. This has not been tested as I don’t know enough about it and want no damage done. I have not cleaned this in any way… Not even wiped it off.
