A Bendix bakelite vintage vacuum tube radio, made circa 1948 in Baltimore, MD. It is a model #110. Exceptionally nice looking radio has been electronically restored. All tubes have been checked and has a new power cord and is ready for everyday listening. It has been professionally painted in an attractive two tone color. The curved plastic dial scale is nicely lighted and has one flaw, a stress crack about 3/8 in the upper left hand corner. The gorgeous Bakelite case surrounds the entire radio. Fully restored for safe, reliable use. Radio measures approximately 11″W x 8″H x 8D. Offered here for your consideration is a pretty rare color combination in this Estate Fresh Bendix Model 526. I have had this radio before but it still a lot more uncommon than the catalin version of this one. I also think it is nice that it has survived damage as a polystyrene set with bakelite knobs. It is estate fresh and could use a good cleaning (which I will leave up to the new owner). Lots of swirling and the swirling or marbleizing all over this radio. I did not find any cracks at all on this radio, however the cord is cut and it is electronically untested. This set also has the original back with a nice dial glass and it plays. I can not test and would still recommend having it serviced and cleaning the cabinet. This is a nice set, so don’t miss out. This radio measures approximately 11″ by 7.5″ by 7.5 Good Luck and don’t be afraid to make offers. Ask any and all questions and I will be happy to oblige.
