I just completed the restoration of this beautiful little 1939 Philco model 40-115C tube radio. The cabinet is stunning with the various colored wood colors and grains flowing throughout its design. The radio is a compact 12.5″ long x 7.5″ tall x 6 deep. I have installed a new AC power cord, new dial cover, new dial lamp, new grill cloth, and new filter and paper capacitors, The remaining components were cleaned, adjusted, lubed, tested, and replaced if needed. The original knobs were polished and resealed. The dial face on the radio and the speaker are in excellent condition. The volume level is strong and the voice/tone is very clear. You will need to attach a few feet of wire to the radio antenna pick tail in the rear of the radio for proper reception and performance. This will vary based on your location and signal strength. The radio plays great and looks wonderful. A very nice collecting piece or great for that display in your home or office! Thank you for looking today! Just finished for a new home is a gorgeous 1939 PHILCO tube radio model 39-7. The radio is a nice display size being only 12.25″ long x 8.25″ tall x 6.5 deep. The cabinet is simply eye catching featuring the maple veneer with walnut wrap around bands. The wood grain and colors throughout the cabinet are superb. There are 6 functional push buttons which can be individually set for you favorite stations by adjusting the trimmers in the rear of the radio. The knobs, station call letter bracket, and bezel have been polished and resealed. Also new call letters in the bracket. There is a new grill cloth, new AC power cord, new dial lamp, and new filter and audio capacitors. The tubes tested and are strong performers. The remaining components checked, cleaned, and adjusted/replaced if needed. The glass dial cover and speaker are in excellent condition. The radio plays very well with no issues. You will need to attach a few feet of wire to the antenna pigtail at the rear of the radio for proper reception and performance. Performance will vary depending on your location and signal strength. The cabinet is stunning in display and features the very nice wrap around grill for the speaker. The bezel and knobs have been polished and resealed. There is a new AC power cord, new dial lamp, new grill cloth, and new filter and audio capacitors. The glass dial cover is excellent as is the speaker which sounds strong and clear. The remaining tubes and electrical components were tested and replaced if needed. You will need to attach a few feet of wire to the antenna pigtail at the rear of the radio to ensure good reception and proper performance from the radio.
