Touched my antenna to the terminal and is working good. A couple indentation spots on the top of the radio and one in the front top edge. Some light edge wear at the bottom edging of the radio, some lines of cracks in the frame of the circle and other wear see pictures. Cord and cloth are good. The radio looks to be in excellent shape. Not sure of the model number there is a 13-2880 on the chassis. Cant find the radio on worth point or google just the mini cathedral that looks similar.

Reducing costs by reducing tube count without sacrificing performance can be accomplished by using new technology. This set uses the 6B5 dual triode which was introduced in 1935. Essentially 2 tubes in 1, the 6B5 is used as an two stage audio amplifier allowing higher gain without an additional tube. 1935 saw “airplane dials” (circular dials with double pointers) start replacing the older “window” dials. In 1922 Crosley started radio station WLW which, in 1934, would become the most powerful station in the country (500,000 watts). In 1935 Crosley introduced the “Roamio”, the first car radio. 1930s Crosley Radio is a beautiful vintage piece that will add character to any room. Restored in the early 2000s: beautifully re-chromed! Missing backplate and has a small chip in the number “6″ but otherwise very nice condition. It seems to be working, as I plugged it in and pulled out the wire. And turned the dials and got static (I’m not sure how to tune it). Size: 8.25 x 5 x 4 inch / 210 x 127 x 102 mm. Condition: A beautiful post war radio by Airline. The clean chassis was removed and sent to our technician for upgraded caps and replacement of out of spec resistors. The tubes tested 80% or better. No dial light for this model. The original speaker looks great and sounds great. This radio easily tunes in our local stations. The modern plastic case and knobs received a coat of gloss Red enamel which offsets the blemish free beautiful Gold dial. The original back cover is in excellent condition for it’s age. Overall, this radio was well taken care of and a great looking post war radio that would look great as an Art Deco piece in your home or added to any collection. This one won’t disappoint.
