Very RARE Vintage Federal Tube Radio. Hard to believe this is 79 Years Old. Original Glossy / Shiny Finish. Cosmetic Condition is Excellent. Case has no Cracks or Chips. Tiny Scratch On Top Back (Pointed out in Photo). Back Cover has a couple of defects. Radio Has Been Stored Away Correctly for Decades. See Photos for Cosmetic Condition. Picks up Stations Very Nice. This Radio has Been Restored / Capacitors Replaced. Plays Loud and Clear. Can Play To Fill A Large Room with Quality Sound. This Radio Displays Beautifully. A Great Radio for the Serious Collector who Collects Quality Radios. Measures 12″ L x 8 1/2″ H x 8 D. Starting in 2025 I will be listing over 300 Vintage and Antique Radios from a Collection. Radios from the 20′s 30′s 40′s 50′s 60′s 70′s some 80′s. I would say most are from 50′s 60′s. Conditions include Parts or Repair, Fair, Good, Excellent, and even Superb to Mint Condition. Some are Rare to Extremely Rare. It will take some time to list them all as I try to. Test each one of them to give a more accurate description. I still have over 300 radios to list.

1926 Newtrowound Super Six Radio With Good Tubes Beautiful and Working

This Neutrowound Super Six is in amazing condition. It was nicknamed the “Armored Breadboard” because of its steel enclosure. Excellent condition cosmetically and in good working order. Comes with six good 01A tubes and schematic. Paint, tube covers and the four corner pieces are in exceptional condition. The gum rubber base under the tubes on these radios are always dried up and broken into pieces, but this radio has had new gum rubber installed. The battery leads are in great condition and are clearly tagged for easy hook-up. Neutrowound Radio Manufacturing Company was only around for five years, so these radios are pretty rare and ones in this condition are almost impossible to find. My auctions are for collectors who appreciate radios from the 1920s that are in excellent condition. On the very rare occasion an item is not in good working condition, I will tell you. Philco 40-145 Tabletop 6 Tube Radio With A BEAUTIFUL CABINET. The pictures tell the story of this all original radio. Looks like the original speaker cloth needs replaced. I learned years ago not to plug in these old radios when an auctioneer did so and I the cap blew. Has a few small boo boos and a small piece of veneer missing on the bottom right side (see picture). Dial needle moves good. Dial trim plate and face are good. Original back cover is cracked along part of the vent opening s.

I don’t know anything about its history, and I have not plugged the radio in because I have heard that plugging in radios after they have sat for a long time is not good. This radio appears to be been restored in its recent past. There is even a tag from the company that worked on it before. I’m glad to answer any questions and thank you for looking.

This is a beautiful Vintage EMUD tabletop radio. Overall, I would say the condition is excellent for it’s age. I was not able to test the radio as the power cord is damaged. It has inputs for a phono or tape player. The buttons and knobs all work, except when one of the selector buttons is in the down position and you press the ON/OFF button the down position button does not pop up. I pressed gently on one of the other buttons and the down button popped up. Manufactured in West Germany.
