This radio has been tested and is functioning as it should. I love the Lafayette CB radio collection and have a few here so here goes. You must provide your own microphone. I spent a little time on the air with this unit before listing it. If you are interested in tube type cb radios like me, you can add this one to your collection. The ears good and the modulation is good. I used my personal D-104 which is not included in this sale. I think that it could use a little tuning but it is still alright. The original owner still had it hooked up and we tested it our before purchasing. The radio is in good working condition and has been fully tested. It shows some normal signs of age/use, but looks pretty good for its age. The plastic over the meter has some spiderwebbing, but it doesn’t affect the functionality. Vintage Lettine 242 Ham Radio 6 meter VHF Transmitter Base station 6V6 tube unit. So in from ham estate , comes with an instruction sheet and wiring diagram. Looks very clean for age, tube unit, I see. 2 of 5763 Tubes. 3 of 6V6 GT tubes. And one in corner hard to see in metal case, appears to be EC81? Has a cord with Elmenco plug. I plugged it in for just one second, does power up, did not want to go further than that. Looks complete to me, all tubes present, no signs of damage or rust, no issues I can spot. Even bottom is nice, good cord, chassis nice. See pictures, use zoom.. I did spot a nice you tube video on same model, maybe check it out. I will pack full of bubble wrap for the trip to protect tubes, unless you advise to remove them and put in separate box. I have done both with no problems. See my feedbacks, no trick here, just a nice unit , untested for your ham shack. I believe a rather rare model. It may be a while till you see another. Scale, MR13S10DCUA and MR13S500DCUA THE METER ALSO WAS ON SOME ARMY RADIO SETS RADIO SETS AN/GRC-3, -4, -5 -6, -7, AND -8 respectively. – OTHER THAN THAT THE METER WAS MADE BY INTERNATIONAL INSTRUMENTS — WHO MADE THE ACTUAL UNIT I DO NOT KNOW.
