Vintage MCM Trutest 5 Tube Superheterodyne KT-204 Kit Radio (Working Japan). For restoration is a great looking Trutest 5 tube Superheterodyne KT-204 kit radio with Jetsons like styling, retaining it’s original 6 foot 5 inch power cord, marbleized hard plastic case resting on a swivelling base. Small radio measures 5-3/16 inches in height, 8-11/16 inches in length, and 4-9/16 inches in width not including either of the two knobs, working, and being surprisingly loud, but obviously needing some servicing as it sounds like the Daleks are invading. The case needs a full restoration and shows some damage, there being a small distorted area at the top backside where it appears like it over heated, with the faceplate showing a few cracks where the retaining screws were over tightened, and also missing it’s name plate “see photos”. THOROLA 17 DRUM SPEAKER. TESTED AND FOUND TO BE WORKING WELL AT 659 OHMS. GREAT LOOKING ORNATE DRUM SPEAKER WITH A 14 DRUM CONE. THE BASE IS AN ORNATE WOOD UNIT. UNIT STAND A TOTAL OF 17 HIGH. THE BACK OF THE UNIT IS A HEAVY PAPER WHICH HAS BEEN RIPPED AND REPAIRED (not very well). SEE THE LAST 2 GALLERY PHOTOS. CONDITION: WORKING ORNATE / DELICATE SPEAKER. SOME RIPPED PAPER ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT. THERE IS ONE SMALL PIECE OF PRESSED WOOD MISSING FROM THE FRONT CIRCLE. SEE THE 3RD LAST GALLERY PHOTO. Since there is no specialized knowledge, we have not checked the power supply and operation. Twisting feels like there is a response. I have something attached to the back. As a restoration base size: H38×W68×D39cm Please allow for errors in measurements due to measurement points. Simple cleaning is applied so as not to impair the goodness of the product. About the inside, only cleaning to the extent that dust is brushed within the reach of the hand is performed. I think that it must be replaced because the cord deteriorates and crumbles. Since the exterior is old, there are small scratches and the like, but there is no damage that impairs the beauty as a whole. Please check the image carefully before purchasing.
