This Art deco radio from Bendix Aviation Corporation is a gorgeous piece of history. The brown bakelite exterior exudes a sense of nostalgia, while the radio’s functionality remains intact. With the ability to tune into your favorite stations and enjoy quality sound, this Bendix model 111 is a must-have for any collector. It was manufactured in the United States between 1930-49 and has not been modified. Vintage radio Bendix aviation corporation model 111 – brown bakelite Works! This is an awesome radio in working condition. Please review the pictures for cosmetic condition. The paint on the inside of the dial face looks like it has peeled a little. I have not attempted to clean the radio at all so as not to accidentally damage it. But otherwise very clean & great condition. 13 by 8 x 8 inches tall.. And weighing 10.5 pounds. Chassis model number RH 270186 1. Stored very well in a clean smoke free environment.. Radio turns on, backlight works.. The tuning mechanism does not work due to I believe the tuning wheels string or band is not connected as there is no tension when attempting to turn dial..
