Vintage WW ll U. Army Signal Corp Radio Receiver , Made by Farnsworth Television & Radio Corp.. You can see on the Face is says (Fungicide treated jun 18 1945) and (Before Operating Read TM 11-850). I have no way to test this, so I’m not going to. I don’t even want to plug into the 110 volt plug in the back (afraid to hurt anything). If you are into restoring these, this looks to be a great unit to work with. If you just want to show it off in your Man Cave , just leave it alone. The Microphone comes with it model # T17 4858-CHI-42 and on the dial has SW-109 (not sure if this is for it). Everything looks to be in good original condition. The entire unit weighs 60 Lbs. I had a Seasoned Ham Radio enthusiast inform me this is a BC 342 Model and uses a BC 610 Transmitter. THIS HISTORICAL R-520 MODEL (google this model for all the historical facts on this transoceanic) IS A RARE VARIATION OF FAMOUS TRANSOCEANIC SERIES RADIOS FROM ZENITH (very few of these were made). THE RADIO IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS THE PHOTOS CLEARLY SHOW , BUT DOES HAVE A SLIGHT CLEAR PLASTIC STRESSLINE (see the last photo) NOT BAD AT ALL. THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE. THIS IS A HEAVY AND WELL BUILT RADIO , AND BUILT FOR COMBAT , EVEN THE CHASSIS IS TOTALY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ZENITHS. This particular unit was one of the later units manufactured. A few of the specs are as follows. 14 volt DC powered. Manufactured by RCA in their Camden, NJ plant. Tube Lineup: 6B8, 6C5, 6F7, 6J7, 6K7(3), 991, 41. Tube Functions: 1RF(6K7), 2RF(6K7), 1DET(6J7), HFO(6C5), VR(991), 1IF(6K7), 2IF/CWO(6F7), 3IF/2DET/AVC(6B8), OUTPUT(41). 1.5-18 mc and 200-500 kc tuning range. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. I do not have the proper equipment to test this piece.
