Beautiful VTG (1940) Emerson Aristocrat 400 Catalin Tube Radio IT WORKS

Once the new power cord was installed, we brought it up slowly on a variac and it played nicely! We were able to tune in several stations here in central Indiana. Cabinet looks REALLY nice featuring a beautiful butterscotch marbled color. The cabinet is nice and solid. I don’t see any cracks or chips but there may be a small imperfection in the upper left side of the cabinet. When I rub my hand over that area, it is smooth and I don’t really feel a crack so it may be an imperfection in the plastic… I believe that the radio is mostly all original I have been told that the knobs are not original and the grille may be from a newer model. The radio had been in storage for a number of years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning on the inside. It measures approximately 11″ wide by 5 1/2″ deep (not including the knobs) by 7 1/8 tall. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to call me at 317.340.6170.
