Many of those radios got banged up quite a bit, but this particular one is still in excellent condition at 72 years old and is quite a find! The leatherette/vinyl covering over wood is still supple with good, deep hunter green color. No damage at all. The chrome face sort of speaks for itself with the reflected images in the photos. It has the original knobs and looks almost new. I say almost, because as with most of this model, the “Aria” stencil that was between the dial face and knobs was polished away at some point. It has a new replacement back panel. The chassis has been serviced and tested with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced. Tubes and resistors were replaced as needed. The electrical contacts and controls were detailed cleaned and lubricated. A new power cord and plug were installed. For Shortwave, a longer antenna wire will be needed. It will make a great display and conversation piece for many decors. Now that it is electronically restored, it will last for many more years of enjoyment.
