RESTORED RCA Victor 1950′s vintage tube radio Atomic Age old antique plascon

This radio is in such good condition it looks like it was made last week – mint – pristine – highly collectible and as good as it gets. The solid plascon case is spotless – showing little wear at all and is very shiny. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is very good with no hum. It is playing as I write this. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong, the capacitors have been replaced and the cord plug has been polarized. This radio has a printed circuit board (see picture #7) which will makes it durable, thus it will last much longer than other vintage radios which are hand wired and soldered. Featuring super funky 50′s styling, it has the RCA Victor name and logo on the front. It has a large a clear dial. The tuning knob and the off/on/volume switch – are both in excellent condition. The plascon case has no cracks, dents or scratches and a built-in loop antenna, the back is original – it is all original. The measurements are: 13″ across, 5″ wide and 6.5 high. Given its age and condition, this radio will give years of good service. Every vintage tube radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description.

Radio powers up but just has buzzing. Was not able to tune a station. Cosmetic condition is worn but mostly intact. Most of the wood veneer intact. Has all knobs and buttons. Viewing window for dial is there as well! Inside chassis is nice and clean. Inside of cabinet also has all original stickers intact as well! Nice candidate for restoration! Overall size is 12 3/8 wide, 6 5/8″ deep, and 8 3/8″ tall.

Picked this up at a local sale. Beautiful cabinet – I plugged it in and it lights up and plays – a lot of crackling sound. It needs an Antennae for sure. I plugged it in and works, and its crackles a lot. I have video of the sound. Not sure all the buttons work. Assume it needs work. It’s a large heavy radio.
