Everytime i pick one of these up i just can’t wait to restore them because they are so beautiful with their very colorful wood grains, large dial face, and wrap around grill. One of emerson’s most popular radio’s when it comes to size, looks, and performance. Speaking of size, this radio comes in at 12″ long x 8.5″ tall x 6.5 deep. The cabinet is in excellent condition being very solid and very attractive to the eye. I have restored several of these all of my customers were very satisfied wit their appearance and performance. I have installed a new dial face which covers the excellent looking dial face and pointer, new dial lamp, new ac power cord, new grill cloth, and new filter and paper capacitors. The remaining electrical components have been tested, checked, and cleaned as well. There are 5 tubes that i test individually on my tube tester. Only the strong survive and the weak are replaced. The bezel and the knobs have been polished and resealed. There is a back cover reflection the model and “ingraham” metal label stating that this cabinet was deigned by the ingraham people. A very collectable radio of this era and design. The radio has a big 7 speaker and projects clear and strong. Installed is a new dial belt and the knobs function as they should. There is a short antenna pigtail at the rear of the radio with a red tag on the end. You will need to attach 12-16 feet of wire to the end for proper reception and performance. This will vary due to your location and signal strength. The plays and sounds excellent with no issues.
