Offered here is a vintage Hallicrafters World-Wide model TW-1000 multiband tube portable radio, a classic early-1950s shortwave set designed for home or travel use. This is the desirable suitcase-style portable with the large world map inside the lid, telescoping antenna, and multiband dial layout that made these Hallicrafters sets so distinctive. Research indicates the TW-1000 is an 8-band tube portable covering standard broadcast, longwave, and multiple shortwave bands.
