It features that awesome RACETRACK dial! The radio power on when plugged in and turned on and it plays nicely! I was able to tune in several stations here in central Indiana. He backlit dial light works as well. He wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks exceptional. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. 2 of the knobs have chips. Not sure if the push buttons work? Im not to good at testing the radio’s that have special features. Probably needs an antenna to get broadband stations. Scratches to top and sides and bottom front. 12 3/4″ W by 7″ Deep X 9 tall. This radio has the oval “racetrack” dial and is highly sought after. The functions of the 4 round knobs from left to right are On/Off/Volume, Tone (2 positions), Tuning, and Function. The radio has 5 pushbuttons on the lower part of the brass escutcheon. The Function knob on the far right selects either Shortwave, Standard Broadcast, or Automatic that activates the station presets. Outside antenna will bring in the best reception. It has it’s original 2 knobs. The cabinet is a little warped. There is a gap between the wood on the left backside. The front of the radio has some paint splatters on the front of it. These traits all just add character though since it was around in every situation, even messy ones! The cord needs a replacement. This is a great radio. It would be a good project. It doesn’t need much work, but it does need a little! It measures about 12″ long, 9″ tall, and 7 wide. This is a great deal for a Zenith radio.
