The beautiful eye catching design allows the dial to be easily viewed. With five tubes and tone control for your listening preference, it has excellent reception on all three bands using an external antenna wire lead. The cabinet is dark chocolate with black swirls and is in excellent condition with no damage whatsoever. The cabinet was disassembled and cleaned, then polished to a super smooth and shiny luster. The glass dial face has crisp and clear graphics that are nicely lighted. The polished knobs and the grill cloth are original. The power cord has been replaced, using the original plug. Electronically, the chassis was restored, cleaned and serviced, with all paper/wax and electrolytic capacitors replaced with new ones. Tubes and resistors were replaced as needed. All controls and contacts were detail cleaned and lubricated. Wiring and other components were replaced as needed. The radio was aligned, peaked and tuned for optimal reception and quality of sound using the external antenna wire lead. At 80 years old but newly restored, this beautiful piece of history will last another 80 years if well cared for.
