Vintage Zenith Model 5-S-127 Tombstone radio that is a good candidate for restoration. The radio is not functioning – radio only hums when turned on, but all of the tubes tested good on my Eico Model 625 tube tester. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. Unfortunately, someone put something hot on the top of the radio that left an impression in the varnish. A similar defect is just above the dial on the front and along the right side. The knobs turn smoothly and properly, but the dial indicator is not functioning. Grill cloth is in great shape, with no rips or holes and the cloth power cord is in good condition with one section that is frayed. Great radio to add to your collection.
