Electronics were restored, new capacitors added, tubes checked. Original power cord and a new replacement back added. Plays well and picks up many stations. Dial lights up nicely in the dark. Jetsons like future design. No cracks to the case. Case was cleaned and polished. Rare to find these without cracks and only made for one year. A HTF radio called the”Boomerang”. The radio lights up and plays on 700 and a couple of other stations. Does have a humming noise. Good modern looking radio with no cracks or chips in body. Everything looks to be original on this radio. Plenty of pictures to show all the nicks and scratches from its 68 years of existence. All tubes look to be there. The radio is completely dead. No sound no nothing. Plugged in and turned on I don’t even get one tube to glow. No testing has been done to figure out what the problem is. Good condition power cord. It doesn’t work anymore, but it still looks really cool. The finish has some streaks and spots and what looks like some old paint flecks. This was in my grandfather’s workshop for a long time so I’m guessing that’s where it got most of its character. The cardboard backer is intact but the edges are frayed.
