Vintage RCA Victor 3BX671 Strato-World 3-Band Portable Radio – World Map – Rare – 1953. Condition: Used PreOwned (Tested Working). This rare vintage RCA Victor 3BX671 Strato-World 3-band portable radio (circa 1953) is a true collector’s item! Housed in a beautiful tan leatherette case with a unique world map lining, this retro radio evokes a sense of adventure and nostalgia. Perfect for vintage radio collectors, antique radio lovers, and shortwave radio enthusiasts. The radio has been tested and is fully functional-it was recently used to listen to vintage music with surprisingly good sound and clear transmission. The power cable is intact and visible in the photos. Portable Design: The sturdy leatherette case with a handle allows for easy transport, making it perfect for taking on trips or displaying in various settings. World Map Interior: The lid features a stunning vintage world map, adding to the radio’s character and appeal. The artwork remains in excellent condition despite its age. 5-Tube Configuration: Utilizes 1U4 (x2), 1L6, 1U5, and 3V4 tubes for that warm, classic tube radio sound. Built-in Loop Antenna: Provides excellent reception, especially on shortwave bands. External Antenna Connections: Includes external antenna and ground terminals for enhanced reception. Dual Power Options: Operates on 115V AC/DC or can be used with a battery pack (not included) for portable operation. Retractable Antenna: The antenna extends and retracts normally; however, the small nub at the tip is missing. It can still be easily pulled up using pliers if needed. Vintage Leather Handle: The original leather handle at the top is intact and functional, allowing the unit to be carried. It does show some wear from age, which adds to its nostalgic appeal and vintage charm. This authentic aged look makes it feel like stepping back in time, evoking memories of a bygone era.
