Here we have up for sale an original 1930′s AmRad Model A-516 tube radio. Radio is complete with all the knobs funtioning including the tuning knob. Piece measures 12″ x 11″ x 7 1/2. Unfortunately, the radio does not work. The wood cabinet is in nice shape with a tiny chip near the first rib in the upper left corner of the face (please see pics). Still has it’s original cord. This vintage piece of early radio history is in acceptable shape and would be a nice addition to any vintage radio collection. FREE S & H. Vintage 1930′s Cathedral Style Radio Cookie Jar. TUNE IN A COOKIE! This is a piece of early radio memorabilia, a “modern” cathedral radio cookie jar. It’s in perfect condition with zero chips or scratches on the outside. Knobs are in perfect condition on the outside as well. Small paint chip on the inside on the lid not visible when lid is on the radio. Dial is clear and a music note as well. “888 USA stamp on the bottom” Tune in a cookie on the handle. Would make an excellent addition to any cookie jar collection! The jar measures about 12″ tall(with lid on) and 7-3/4″ wide 6″ deep 9″(without lid). Please view all pictures for more details! Near Antique Philco 90 Cathedral Vintage Tube Radio from the 1930′S. Condition is “As is and need of repair to play”. After observation, you can see some nicks and scratches, though it appears to have been somewhat cosmetically refurbished at some point in the past… Does TURN ON and makes a slight static sound. Loose wires likely need to be reinstalled and/or replaced. Great project with completion way mlre than 1/2 way there!! Signtaure will be required! This cathedral Radio is ome of a kind and nearly 100 ayears old!! This is a monster chassis with 9 tubes and 90 watts! It is the most sought after radio of all the Philco Radios. VINTAGE PHILCO 37-61 TUBE RADIO. Antique Philco 37-61 radio quick demo of it powered on. Video will open in a new window. Using the mobile app? It appears it has had previous work done. I did not take apart to inspect the bottom area. In the top of the chassis there is a hole where a rectifier or capacitor tube probably would have been so I’m assuming it was replaced at some point and is probably replaced behind or below (I’m not a radio or electronics person, so only going on assumptions that because the radio is somewhat working, it must not be missing an important part). It has some clipping noises and weird inflections of sound at times but see video where I got it to tune in a radio station and I turn the dial a bit but couldn’t tune in much else. I did hear someone talking in a foreign language once but I didn’t capture that in the video. I can’t find an exact match to the design of the front of the radio so it may have been refinished at some point, maybe just the bottom half below the speaker cut-outs OR maybe that was a style, as if it were re-done on the lower half, you would think you would see/feel a significant separation where the what looks like original finish on the upper half meets the black line and different painted finish lower half. To me the upper half and the vertical center part of the lower half look original to me. You be the judge, but it does look good even if has been refinished, so I believe this would be a good candidate to go through and get fully working. It measures 17″ tall and the base is 13 5/8″x9.
