Power comes on but the radio does not receive. Radio may require a replacement antennae as there is a frayed wire protruding through the back cover. There are some minor scratches on the wooden cabinet. Some wear is apparent on the front speaker cover. Back cover and bottom show wear commensurate with age. Power cord appears to have been replaced. Overall this radio looks good for its age. Cosmetically it’s in nice condition. Radio features a folding metal handle on top and volume and station selector controls on the front. With some TLC, this radio could become a real collector’s item. Radio cabinet measures 10.5″ in length x 8.5″ in height x 6 in depth. Weight is 9 lbs, 8 oz. Please refer to photos for a more detailed description. Offering a very rare 1930′s AMPERITE RBH Ribbon Microphone. Built in New York City, and one that displays very well! Quite often these are rusty and crusty so it’s a bit unusual to find one this nice. This mic is 100% complete, ribbon looks OK, but only produces very low output. It is all ORIGINAL and not repainted. The gun metal finish displays well and is free of any dents, rust or visual defects. Includes a 4 foot long cord with 3 pin XLR male connector. THE VINTAGE HEAVY CAST IRON STAND IS INCLUDED. The yoke holds the mic firmly in any tilted position and is attached to a replacement chrome male microphone adapter so it will mount to any deck stand or boom. It has a very clean original Amperite badge, which almost always go missing. Note: Amperite made the RBH and RAH models, look exactly the same, but the RBH model was double the cost of the RAH, better frequency response, and 50% heavier in weight than the RAH. Amperite produced some of the most attractive and modernistic art-deco designs of its day, were quite popular in night-club, P. And broadcast/recording applications, and proved to be a major competitor with the giant RCA at that time. This Amperite RBH model, despite its bold machine-ag. Exterior, was actually a fine microphone, offering high quality at a bargain price compared with the more expensive RCA’s of its time. THE MIC STAND IS INCLUDED. 1930′s Cathedral Radio. Video will open in a new window. Serenader in good functioning order. Overall, the condition is unrestored and in very good condition having some scratches and scuffs on the case. The tuner dial and fabric speaker cover is in excellent condition. Two knobs are in place but the on/off knob is missing from the unit. The speaker is in good working order. The power cord was partially replaced. It is a wonderful piece of history and an easy restoration. The radio measures 17″ tall x 15-1/2″ wide x 8-1/2 deep. This radio was manufactured by Zenith in 1938 and features an Art-Deco Design. The radio offered for sale in this listing is in good overall condition for its age. It appears to be mostly orignial. Cosmetically the radio does show signs of wear, with some scratches as shown. Some of the veneer is seperating at the bottom as shown. One of the knobs (Right knob in the photos) appears to be a replacement. There is some cracking in the dial face around the area of the lights due to heat from the bulbs. It appears that a previous owner replaced the filter capacicitors, but otherwise all the original zenith caps and resistors are in tact. With a bit of TLC, this radio could be museum quality, making it a great restoration project. Please view all photos and the video carefully before purchasing.
