Antique 1930s wooden Philco table radio. Great Deco style with the flared out and curved sides. Measures 11-1/2″ across the front, 5″ deep, and 8-1/2 tall. All original vintage condition. Normal surface wear from age & use. The tuner knob moves the station pointer only about halfway and then it seems to slip. PHILCO MODEL 66 CATHEDRAL RADIO 1934. It has a 5 tube chassis (they are all there). I plugged this one in and got a very nice red glow on the tuning dial I didn’t hear any stations until I touched a wire to the antenna connector and then it played strong… That being said if you are looking for a strong player it will need some tweaking. The cabinet is solid and looks good with some minor veneer splits and wear to the outer finish. · the original hexagonal bakelite knobs are very nice. · Original grill cloth has a hole near the top. This is a scarce old Vintage 1930′s? Art Deco style Radio – Packard Bell model 566 Wood & Bakelite Table top Radio. Radio works in terms of pulling in radio signals and volume control. There is however, quite a bit of hum and some “wave” type sounds. Still, the radio station I listened to came in nice and clear. And the “tuner” part works fine. Radio is about 12″ wide, by about 8.5″ tall, by about 7 deep. It weighs about 8.75 lbs. Wooden case is in good condition. The paper tuning label is faded but still readable. Also the dial light works fine too. Radio is missing it’s two front pad feet and the bottom is “open” in terms of being able to see into the electronic works. All in all, a nice old radio!! Near Antique Philco 90 Cathedral Vintage Tube Radio from the 1930′S. Condition is “As is and need of repair to play”. After observation, you can see some nicks and scratches, though it appears to have been somewhat cosmetically refurbished at some point in the past… Does TURN ON and makes a slight static sound. Loose wires likely need to be reinstalled and/or replaced. Great project with completion way mlre than 1/2 way there!! Signtaure will be required! This cathedral Radio is ome of a kind and nearly 100 ayears old!! This is a monster chassis with 9 tubes and 90 watts! It is the most sought after radio of all the Philco Radios. Vintage Rare 1930′s Clarion Tube Radio Art Deco Style Wood Tombstone Cabinet. Cabinet is in good condition. Veneer finish has been touched up and the black lines and black bottom of the radio has been touched up. We also polished the front brass bezel and replaced the speakers cloth. That is all that we did to the cabinet. We did slowly power this up with a Variac over a few hours to test that it powers on. Once on it seemed to want to work producing static and no hum but i could not tune in stations. The tuner light did come on. I’m sure there is dated capacitors and resistors etc. That need to be changed. Please look at the 12 pictures closely and judge the condition, size and con.
