Here are 2 new old stock, vintage RCA 5692 (6SN7) electron radio amplifier vacuum tubes in original intact boxes. They have the brick red base and black plates. They are considered the premium version of the 6SN7 which is much more reliable and lasts a lot longer. They have matching base codes of 2-04 and tested on my TV-7 at 94/90 and 94/92, so very strong new testing tubes. They were also tested for shorts. I do have a few of these and can make a special listing if you are interested in more. The only difference would be the test results.

Vintage – GENERAL ELECTRIC – LCP-609 – Working Tubed Wood Radio. Outer walnut and rock maple wood case in very good condition with some minor defects. Dial lens and two original GE brass insert knobs in good condition. Sticker on the bottom. Six tube chassis has been serviced (see below) and radio plays well using its GE circular loop antenna. Option for external antenna for distant stations. Good working condition vintage tubed radio. Does have some static. Wood has some scratches and chips but over all in good condition for its age. Tuning window lights up and as the tubes warm up you will hear the radio come to life. Difficult to tune to station, needs more powerful antenna in my opinion. Last serviced on 10-19-1956. Dimensions 13″W x 9-1/4″H x 6-7/8D.
Unmolested ORIGINAL ZENITH BLACK DIAL RADIO from local family estate. I have provided pics from every angle and they can be enlarged as well. Untested because of what I found below….. Question: I just acquired an antique radio. I don’t know if it works or not. Can I plug it in and turn it on? Plug in and turn on an old, unrestored radio until it has been thoroughly checked for signs of trouble. This includes, but is not necessary limited to. Replacing the electrolytic (filter) condensers. Examining the underside of the chassis, paying close attention to the bottom of the power transformer. Look for any signs of a waxy substance leaking from the transformer. If you see it, the transformer has overheated at some time and may no longer function properly (if at all).
