This is the Nile Green version of this speaker made to match up with the Philco Philco 514 radio! The metal cabinet was designed by Hollingsworth Pearce and it was hand-painted under the supervision of Mademoiselle Messaros! Philco promoted these radio/speaker sets by proclaiming. Now, for the first time, radio in color. Vivid colors to harmonize with your home. As you can see from the pictures, the speaker is in really nice condition for being 90 years old. Th ere are some minor paint scratches and wear in places like you might expect on a piece from this era. I was told that the speaker works but I do not have the proper equipment to test it out. It is a Philco 513 radio the Labrador Gray version of the Philco 511 series of radios. This is also a rare set! Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. The item “VTG (1928) Philco 214 Hand-Painted NILE GREEN Tube Radio Receiver Speaker” is in sale since Wednesday, December 5, 2018. I believe that this radio is 100% original, or very close if not. The interior looks good bu t I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. I was told that the radio works but I did not plug it in as I do not have the proper equipment to turn this radio on slowly. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. It is the Nile Green Philco 214 speaker also very rare! VTG (1932) Philco Jr. 80P Model 80 Portable BC Tube Radio Receiver IT WORKS

80P (Model 80 Portable) Tube Radio/Receiver! I believe that this is a fairly rare set with only 1,490 sets ever made! The radio did power on when I plugged it in and it worked nicely! I was able to tune in several stations here in central Indiana and I did not have it hooked up to an external antenna. The backlit dial also worked like it should. The case is still nice and solid and the hinged lid works as it should. The case is covered with a leatherette material that is still in pretty good shape given it’s age and use. There are a few minor scrapes, tears, etc. Both the on/off/volume and tuner dials work as they should. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. I believe that this set is 100% original. It even still has all 4 of the original Philco branded tubes! Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. This set would look very nice in any vintage themed room or in your collection! The radio measures approximately 11 1/2″ by 9 1/4″ by 12. It weighs approximately 19 pounds. Please be sure to check out my other listings as I have several other vintage radios for sale! Couldn’t get any channels to come in on short wave. The FM part was discontinued so no channels come in on it. Has some cosmetic wear from age on exterior. Knobs have splitting from age. The buttons seem to work fine. The antenna was added later by a ” handyman” Looks to be the original cord with some fraying, but works and plays. Nicknamed the “bread box” 17.5″ long Approx 11″ wide 12 tall Really nice piece of history. The item “1942 Philco Model 42-350 Radio, antenna added, works!
