NICE VINTAGE ZENITH TRANSOCEANIC 600 AM SW MULTIBAND TUBE RADIO SERVICED WORKS

The model number is T600 chassis number is 6T40Z & it was produced around the 1955 era. The black cabinet is clean inside & out & in good condition but there are some light scuffs & general wear do to age & usage. All in all this radio looks good for it’s age. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this nice looking & working radio. The front panel/lid opens & closes nicely & the brass latch works well. The multiband dial scale & dial pointer are in fantastic condition & works well. The zenith dial-a-mat chart log is in excellent condition. The black handle on top is in fantastic condition. The wave magnet antenna on top is in fantastic condition. The large telescopic antenna is in great working condition. The chassis is in great condition & uses 6-tubes including the ballas tube. The chassis has been serviced by a professional radio tech who replaced the 50A1 ballas tube with a new tube, installed all new electrolytic capacitor filters & also replaced several capacitors. The electric cord is in good condition that can be safely plugged in. This radio has been restored to great working condition. This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology “unlike modern day solid state radios” can have interference/noise in the sound quality, caused by kitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV’S, florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires/lines above your home, etc… So where you position/place this radio in your home can make a huge difference & the direction/position it is set in. A lot of tube radios are directional meaning you “may” have to turn the radio one way or the other to receive the best reception. The approximate size of this fabulous gem is 17-1/4″ long 7-3/4″ wide & 11-1/2 high. I package very well for a safe arrival. RETURN IF NOT AS ADVERTISED. These are hard to find as they were small and inexpensive and most were just tossed in the trash when they quit working or were replaced by a more sophisticated set. The “Pup” uses A regenerative circuit that works quite well. Battery requirements (when using the correct tube – WD or WX-12) is 1.5 V “A” supply & 22.5 V “B”, It will also work well with a UV or UX-201A. This one is a nice looking Crosley Pup. Has a small ding on one side, but other than that, looks good. You can see the ding in the second picture — minor but I wanted to point it out. Appears to have original paint, with a few minor chips missing here/there. Take a look at photos and decide for yourself. All knobs turn/function as they should. Label on bottom (often missing) is in place and quite readable. Has the labels on the various power wires. Please note: no tube(s) are included in this sale. Bought from a local dealer and was told that it worked. He seemed reputable but since I don’t have the power supply to check it out, no guarantees are made about if it works or not. That said, I checked the grid leak resistor — it’s fine. Checked the wire wound filament rheostat — it’s fine. Made sure the mica “sheet” was present — it is. Very cool 1950′s classroom teaching aid for tube radio instruction. It shows a radio that has been layed out breadboard style and how the components work. It was made so that it can actually be turned on and tune in different radio stations. This was found in a closet of a public school that was being torn down. It was covered with a ton of dust so obviously had not been used in years, probably decades. It is in nice cosmetic condition. It will probably need some attention to get it going again. It has the Welch Scientific label on it. It is similar in design to the RCA demonstrators. It measures 31″ wide X 21″ high X 5.5 deep. This would be a neat item to get running and hang on the wall with your radio collection. WORKING CROSLEY PUP RADIO. WITH ORIGINAL BOX (NOT A REPRO–IT’S ORIGINAL). RETURN IF NOT AS ADVERTISED. THIS ONE GOES WAY, WAY BACK. OVERALL IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. NO MYSTERY HOLES, WIRES, PARTS, ETC. I FOUND ONE VERY MINOR DING ON IT. IT’S ALONG THE TOP EDGE IN THE FIRST PHOTO. YOU NEED TO LOOK CLOSELY TO SEE IT IN THE PHOTO. CERTAINLY NOT A BIG ISSUE–BUT YOU DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. AND AS MENTIONED, THIS ONE WORKS! TOOK PIX OF ALL SIDES. THE LABEL ON THE BOTTOM IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND HAS NOT PEELED OFF AS MANY DO. The model number on this wonderful radio is 45×18 & it was produced in the 1940 era. The cabinet is all original that is solid & tight with no missing veneer. This cabinet has been cleaned & polished which still retains it’s low luster sheen or shine. The cabinet presents itself very nicely but it is not perfect as there are a few small nicks & light scratches from age related ware. For a radio that is over 75yrs old & in it’s original finish it looks very nice. I have taken many pictures of this radio so you may get a good view at this nice looking & working radio. The plastic dial scale lens cover is clean & clear with no cracks. The 2 brown bakelite/plastic control knobs are original & in fantastic looking & working condition. The 5 brown bakelite/plastic pushbuttons are all in great condition & they do work. The horizontal wood speaker louvers are in great looking condition that adds a very nice touch to the style of the cabinet. There is a back panel & it is in great condition but it is not the original back panel. The chassis is in great condition. & it is a 5 tube unit with 2 controls. The controls are on/off/volume & tuning & both controls were lubricated & work great. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed. & all paper/wax capacitors have been replaced & a new electric cord has been installed. This chassis has been restored by the previous owner who was a serious radio. This radio has been restored to fantastic working condition. When this wonderful rca is. This rca radio would make an excellent your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it’s power &. Beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter. NICE OLD VINTAGE 1949 SILVERTONE TUBE BAKELITE AM FM RADIO RESTORED WORKS GREAT

The model/cat number on this wonderful radio is 8021 & it was produced in the 1949 era. The cabinet is made out of bakelite or thick plastic & it is a light to medium gray in color. This is a painted cabinet straight from the factory. This cabinet has been cleaned & polished which still retains it’s original sheen or shine that looks great. There are no cracks or chips in the cabinet but there are a few light nicks & scratches in the paint as you can see in several pictures which none of them really detract from the overall beauty of this radio. This radio presents itself well & in my eyes & did not warrant a repaint. Also i did not want to have this cabinet repainted as i wanted to leave it all original. I have taken may pictures of this radio so you may get a good view at this unique looking & working retro radio. The plastic dial scale lens cover is clean & clear with no cracks. There also has been a new dial light installed, however it is really not a dial scale light as the light really only lights up the “silvertone” on the dial scale as shown in a picture. The metal silver mesh speaker grill is in fantastic condition. The 4 control knobs are original & in great looking & working condition. The original paper label on the bottom is in great condition. The original back panel is present that holds on tight & secure & is in fantastic condition. The chassis is in great condition & it is a 7 tube unit with 4 controls. The controls are as stated from left to right #1-volume #2-on/off/tone #3-band #4-tuning & all 4 controls are in great working condition. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & all paper/wax capacitors have been replaced & a new electric cord has been installed. Also the selenium rectifier has been replaced. This radio has been restored to fantastic working condition. This silvertone radio would make an excellent addition to. Your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it’s power &. Beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter. I have a few antique vintage tube radios & items. It was found in a recent estate sale. The radio comes to you in nice cosmetic condition. The paint is pretty nice all around. There are a few scuffs here and there as you can see in the photos on the sides. The face is very clean and in great shape.
