Fada 602 radio record player RARE vintage 78 rpm wooden c1940's 1947 tube

This is a rare Fada 602 tube radio/phonograph. It is circa 1947. This piece is in great shape! The wood is excellent. There is one small place in the back bottom side about the size of a pencil eraser that is dug in but it is hard to see. There are a few scuffs and scratches that are minor. I do not know if the finish is original or not but it looks very nice. The radio works great! The dial dial/faceplate is perfect. The wooden original knobs are on the unit and in great shape. The turntable does turn. However the drop mechanism to drop the records is not working. When I put it in storage it used to work so I know it is at least all there. The turntable is 78 rpm. When the amp is switched to phonograph, I can hear it playing but it is not near as loud as the radio. Might be the needle or cartridge, not sure. One of the corner springs that help prevent skipping has come out but is there. The grill cloth looks great but does have a couple of small spots that look to be tiny tears. The interior of the record mech is in great shape. The tonearm assembly is in great shape. There is a piano hinge that holds the lid on. There is also a working arm inside that holds up lid. This is an awesome piece for a collection. Please ask questions before purchasing. I have done my best to describe it. It will be packed well and will be heavy. Thank you for looking and God bless. FADA vintage model 711 Catalin Radio Polished Maroon Bakelite, nice, works well! Of course most were in Spanish but perhaps the radio is bilingual being it has lived all its life in El Paso, Texas. Most of the schematic is still on the bottom. This radio belonged to my wife’s mother and somehow got cracked sometime during one of our moves. I thought I would surprise my wife and restore the radio but now she feels that at our age it is best to sell it. I found a U tube video about repairing cracks on plastic and Bakelite radio cases and then ordered the Plast-Aid kit. I did everything the video said, cleaned, grooved the crack, rough sanded it, cleaned again, taped the outside of the crack, and applied the two part agent out doors as this is something you do not want to do in the house. I also used mesh to reinforce as it too was recommended. I let it cure for a week and then removed the tape and cleaned and lightly sanded again. I feel it came out great and strong. I did not attempt to fill anything and a friend said to paint it but I feel that even with the crack line it is too pretty to paint. I then used #2 plastic polish and then car wax to bring out its beauty. I realize that perhaps it sounds like the radio is a basket case but it is not. The chassis and case are clean and free of corrosion. The plastic dial cover has been cleaned and polished and while not perfect it is presentable. The antenna is also good. This is really a wonderful working radio that would stand tall in a collection or just to use.
