German tube radio, build 1957/58. The radio has been restored. Tubes have been replaced. Critical capacitors, elkos, scale lamps, keyboard lamps and defective resistors were replaced, also the engine capacitors. The chassis had been cleaned, all individual parts were cleaned, the wooden cabinet was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts, copper parts were cleaned + polished and oiled, all contacts were refreshed. The engine and fine tuning Automatic works perfectly on all bands! SABA Meersburg Automatic 8 tube radio model from 1957/58. It has a fantastic tube sound, very clear, warm and powerful. The 10 tubes and the original speakers are in perfect working condition. The magic eye EM34 is middle-good working. Voltage regulator works from 110 to 220V. It´s ready to plug in. It is possible to connect external players like mp3 and other. Original varnish (not revarnished). There is only one long scratch on the top, but not very visible. The automatic works perfectly. The fine-tuning works perfectly, the radio set the station automatically on all bands. Principle: Superhet general, ZF/IF 460/10700 kHz. Wave Range: Long wave, medium wave, short wave and FM. Excellent, 100% Original 1941 Trophy Baseball Radio In Molded Cardboard Cabinet

Make sure to check out all of my auctions after you’ve looked at this one. I’m listing an eclectic assortment of museum quality antiques and collectibles this week, and I suspect that there will be something to interest just about everybody. Here’s an excellent, complete, all-original 1941 Trophy Baseball Radio. Standing 10 high in a spherical cabinet made entirely of molded cardboard, the radio is among the most delicate of early radio collectibles, and it is also among the most desirable. For obvious reasons related to its construction, it is rarely seen in such good condition. The cabinet is finished in high gloss paper, with lithographed decorations that beautifully emulate the look and texture of a major league baseball. The base is plastic, with brass trim and a thin bottom plate. When this radio shows up for sale, (which isn’t often) at least a few of the pieces are typically missing, or are badly damaged, or have been replaced. Not so with this example, which is a major league marvel. It’s complete, it’s original throughout (right down to the power cord) and its condition is exceptionally good. All three grills are present, as is the original Trophy metal emblem on top. None of the grills are punched out, the Trophy emblem is not cracked, and the plastic base (with its original bottom cover still in place) is neither cracked nor warped. The chassis is clean and original, and the lithography is still crisp and vibrant. There are scattered moisture marks, where the cardboard has darkened, but the integrity of the cabinet is still excellent, and the integrity of the paper covering is likewise excellent. The power cord’s rubber sheathing has deteriorated, and the cord is no longer electrically safe. The cord should be replaced if you wish to power the radio up. The radio has not been powered up or otherwise tested, and no assurances are made with respect to its usability. The radio should be thoroughly checked out by a competent technician before any attempt is made to use it. This is an unrestored 75 year-old tube radio, and it will need to be electrically restored before it is put back into service. That’s about it. Rest assured it will arrive at your home in the same fine condition in which it leaves mine. This is a super clean1940 silvertone model 6424. The cabinet is in exceptionally nice original condition. There have been several radios of this model for sale lately but none as nice and original. All original finish, grille cloth, dial and lens. Some patina on the dark brown trim but the cabinet itself is in excellent original condition and the finish is very polished with a wonderful shine. Chassis; this is a 7 tube chassis with tuning eye. The chassis has been fully serviced. Under the chassis has been replaced with new electrolytic’ s. Capacitors etc all new. Tubes checked and replaced as needed. As you can see, the chassis is in great/clean condition. There is a new power cord. The radio plays exceptionally well with great sensitivity across the dial. It has a built in antenna and. An optional line if you want to had a longer one for better shortwave reception. As always, any television or computer monitors broadcast a huge magnetic field that can interfere with reception. Turn them off and you will hear a world of difference. Exceptionally fine listening after dark. Great gift for christmas or to add to your collection. The cabinet measures 16.5 x 9.8 x 7.25 inches.
