For your consideration is this Grundig Majestic Model 1070 Tube Radio. The tube radio, cosmetically, is in fair condition. There is staining and discoloration most notably on the front side of the radio. The off button is cracked. The volume control knob is difficult to operate. I peered behind the back cover and noticed some corrosion (please see pictures). I did not attempt to test this tube radio. I have been told I can potentially damage the radio without first replacing the capacitors. I would prefer that this go to someone who can restore this radio and bring it back to life! The dimensions of the radio are 20″ Length, 8″ Depth, 13 Height.

Please note that this unit is 100% untested and has yet to be plugged in after sitting safely in climate controlled storage for many years – Ensuring you have the opportunity to safely bring the tubes and capacitors up on a Variac to preserve their integrity. All of the tubes are present in the unit and appear healthy from a visual inspection. This Brewster comes in a beautiful walnut Bakelite and is in incredible shape overall for its age with very few imperfections. Ready for a new loving home.

Vintage Westinghouse Classic Tube Type Radio. Chair Side, Original Working. The radio has been plugged in and does work. It definitely needs a good cleaning but it appears that all the inner. Parts are in good shape. NOTE: The exterior needs a deep cleaning. There is a sticky residue on the outside.

Radio powers on and all tubes work. They all light up and get warm (including fully functioning magic eye tube). FM reception is working as are both the tape inputs and ouputs, along with the aux speaker output. All 3 speakers are tested and working no issues. Have played all 3 at full volume with full clarity. I could not pull in on any of these and it seems to be a common with these. Cosmetically it’s in pretty nice shape I’ve highlighted all of the flaws. Out of the box this will pull in fm and work perfectly and also allow you to hook up an auxiliary source (including bluetooth) with the proper adapters and an auxiliary speaker should you want to. It’s a real gem. I don’t have time to diagnose the issues with the other frequency bands.

It does work as you can hear in the video 17″ LONG x 12″ WIDE x 10 DEEP.
