This transmitter is in great cosmetic condition. The only thing that catches our eye is that the cabinet has been repainted at some point. It looks good, but if you flip it over and look at the bottom you can see the original black paint poking through. Other than that, this is probably the cleanest piece of Multi-Elmac equipment we’ve had in the shop. I’m not an expert, but it looks to have only original components and hasn’t been modified. Please correct me if I’m wrong. This’ll make a great addition to any collection! Please note that the 6L6 tubes have been removed from their sockets to ensure they don’t break during transit. This equipment came from the estate of a ham operator and has been tucked away in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We’ve made the decision to sell these old “boat anchors” 100% as-is and untested. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service after sitting this long. Further, it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection!
