This RCA Radiola is in nice cosmetic condition for it’s age. The wooden case has some scuffs, scratches and nicks, but overall I’d say it’s been well cared for over the past 100 years. It currently has all tubes installed. The dials move smoothly, except the “STATION SELECTOR I” control. The knob turns, but the dial doesn’t move. We’ve made no attempt to test the radio. THE “NOTATION AREA” WHERE LISTENERS COULD WRITE THE STATION CALL LETTERS IS UNMARKED. THERE ARE FOUR KNOBS ALONG THE BOTTOM. THE KNOB SECOND FROM THE LEFT IS NOT A MATCH WITH THE OTHER THREE. This radio comes from a meticulously preserved lifetime estate collection we are currently processing. The original owner was extremely organized and careful with his equipment. All items were stored indoors in a dry warehouse environment for decades. This set appears largely original, including. Zenith-branded power transformer (49CZ547). At least one Zenith-branded vacuum tube present. Original-style Zenith electrolytic can. Original back panel (Model 2-101-W marked). Made in U. Zenith was one of America’s premier radio manufacturers of the 1940s, known for durable construction and strong reception. The classic cream cabinet, gold concentric dial, and woven grille cloth make this a great restoration candidate or display piece. Untested – not powered on. Interior shows dust from long-term storage. Cabinet shows age wear, scuffs, and discoloration. Back panel present but currently taped in place. Dial glass intact. Cord appears original. No obvious chassis modifications observed. As with most 1940s radios, it will likely require capacitor replacement and servicing before regular use. Please review all photos carefully. Tubes will be protected internally. Radio will be securely bubble wrapped. Double boxed if needed. We take extra care with fragile vintage electronics.
