The Vintage RCA Victor 16T3 Tube Radio is a classic piece from 1938, featuring a push-button console for easy tuning. Made by RCA in the United States, this radio combines retro charm with functional features. It is in working condition pulling in several stations. There is a slight hum and some static. A good tuning maintenance would help clear up any noise. The dim bulb tester is showing no shorts in the electrical. With some wear like scratches on the case but overall still in really good condition.

Circa 1941 Sears, Roebuck Silvertone wood case radio model R1181, 15″ tall, 16 1/2″ wide, 10 1/2 deep, grille cloth, pair of dials and six push buttons. Has a built in loop antenna. Turning the dial moves the station indicator and the push buttons also work to change channels. Has Short Wave(s) and Police settings but didn’t hear anything from those. Magic eye tube feature is present but never had it indicating a solid station connection so I can’t say if it was working. The wood finish looks original but someone thinks its not but its in very nice condition with only minor marks, the curved corners are such a signature of the later Art Deco design. Looks like the former owner took great care of this old model. Has one small break or crack at the right hand base of the plastic surround the push buttons (see close-up). A rare and gorgeous radio from 1947, it has the same chassis as that of the famed Belmont Bakelite “Rabbit” radio 6D111. With very nice veneers and trim, it is a smaller table radio with great sound and reception using six tubes and an internal loop antenna. The cabinet is in excellent condition and retains the original stain, which was rejuvenated to bring out out the features of the wood grain. It was then given six coats of clear lacquer and finally hand waxed to enhance it further. The dial face graphics are crisp and clear and lit just right from behind. The knobs and push buttons are original, as are the grill cloth and back cover. The dial cover and power cord are new replacements. The cabinet has no nicks, missing veneer or scratches. Pads were added to the underside to protect your furniture. Electronically, the chassis was restored, cleaned and serviced, with all paper/wax and electrolytic capacitors replaced with new ones. Tubes and resistors were replaced as needed. All controls and contacts were detail cleaned and lubricated. Wiring and other components were replaced as needed. The radio was aligned, peaked and tuned for optimal reception and quality of sound using the internal loop antenna. This very cute and snazzy wooden radio is now completely restored and reliable. Known to be very collectible too, as it is somewhat rare compared to its sister radio the “Rabbit”. And, at 72 years old, it once again looks and sounds sounds like almost new and will last for for many years to come if well maintained. Note: Tube radios consist of a variety of vacuum tubes, capacitors, resistors and other electronic components. This radio has been disassembled, cleaned, and components tested. All non-functioning or suspect components were replaced. Vacuum tubes are similar to light bulbs in that an interior filament heats up inside the vacuum tube. When the filament burns out, the tube will need to be replaced. The tubes in this radio are in good working order. The longevity of the tube and its filaments is related to the length of time the radio is operated and the frequency of turning the radio power on and off.
