Here is a pretty nice 1938 Zenith 5-R-312 tube radio which lights up and works. One of the two knobs was missing and I replaced it with one that doesn’t look that great. You may want to get a better one. This radio displays well and has had an easy life on the shelf for several years. I find no chips or cracks but a few minor scratches as mentioned in the condition description. Enlarge the photos for up-close details. Beautiful RESTORED vintage Bendix 526C. Amazing green swirl and black catalin case. I restored this radio a few years ago and I’m thinning my radio herd a bit. I’m not aware of any cracks or damage to the case: the photographs are taken in diffuse sunlight in my living room. Pros: – Case has been disassembled and components individually polished to a high gloss. Could use a little dusting. Chassis is electrically restored with new electrolytic and yellow polyester caps, resistors checked and replaced as necessary. No rust, tubes are tested good for a long continued life. Original Bendix molded cord is flexible and safe. The Radio tunes stations and plays well with good volume. Cons: – Knobs are not original but are fabricated from vintage green catalin with metal set screw hubs. Cardboard back is missing. One original screw-on foot is missing. Threaded hole in bottom of case is not damaged. Please feel free to ask any questions. Will be packed correctly. Unless other arrangements are requested. Description: Broadcast Receiver, Shortwave. 6 Tube Chassis, Superhet ZF/IF 455 kHz 2 AF Stages. 115 Volt, 30 Watts. Built In Antenna, Wooden Case, Bakelite Knobs, Push Buttons. Code 121 has the 35Z5GT Tube instead of the 35Z3. Condition: Tested and working. Push buttons work, Dial string intact, Clean dial glass, Smooth tuning, Speaker and grill cloth in excellent condition. The solid wooden case will eventually need a refinish. Beautiful Mid Century design in a Soft Dusty Powder Pink color. Both the radio and the clock are working. Nice and clean sides and front with no chips, or scratches, just one small knob for the minute timer function is missing. There is also a hairline crack on the top. The back and the electrical cable are original and in good condition with no visible damage cracking or deterioration.
