A vintage Bakelite Charlie McCarthy tube radio. The case measures approximately 6 3/4 inches across, 6 inches in height, and 5 1/4 inches in depth. The finish is all original, and I believe that it is made of Bakelite. Charlie sits on the left front of the radio and looks pretty cute. The right side of the front has an attached metal tag that is brass accented with blue paint. It reads: Charlie/ Majestic/ McCarthy (see pictures). I plugged it in, turned it on, the tubes started to glow, it made noise. That was as much as I could get out of it, however. No tuning was possible. The plug is old and need replacement. From a non smoking home and in used condition. Small crack on side and has chips in original paint. No back and no original box. Look at all pictures. The slight condition issues are commensurate with the age of this item.
