This item is a vintage RCA “New Yorker” Model 5Q55 walnut bakelite tube table radio from approximately 1938. Design: It features a molded cabinet designed by John Vassos. It does turn on but does radio does not connect. (With the cords being exposed it was probably a poor choice to plug it in to test it, but I did it anyway). It is highly recommended to replace the electrical wiring before plugging it in again, it could be dangerous. This radio will require some work, wiring and such to get it working again. The body is in excellent condition though. It is a beautiful piece! There are some white paint speckles on the top, I was able to remove a few of them with a damp rag very carefully, but there are still a few dots there. I just got tired and didn’t do the rest, sorry! Dimensions: Approximately 13.5″ wide, 9.3″ tall and 8.7 deep, and weighs 15 pounds & 1 oz. Please see photos for more details and thanks for looking!

The Vintage RCA Victor 16T3 Tube Radio is a classic piece from 1938, featuring a push-button console for easy tuning. A good tuning maintenance would help clear up any noise. The dim bulb tester is showing no shorts in the electrical. With some wear like scratches on the case but overall still in really good condition.

The wood cabinet retains its classic Gothic arch shape and original patina. Please note that the original back cover is missing, leaving the chassis and tubes exposed as shown in the photos.
