Vintage Crosley Model 124 “The Playboy” Cathedral Radio that is in good working condition and has been partially restored. Radio receives stations quite readily with an antenna attached and with minimal background noise. The sound is strong and rich. Cosmetically, the radio is in fair condition, with the finish cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax, but the veneer is cracked and buckled along the sides and top. This version of the radio is unique, as the columns are not fluted, but have an applied gold colored accent, one of which has a small chip. It should be further noted that the body of the radio has the model # 20 next to the name “The Playboy”. Overall the defects do not detract from the overall appearance of the radio if it is to be a shelf piece. All of the dials turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. The grill cloth is in excellent condition, with rips or holes. The period replacement cloth power cord is in excellent condition. Great early radio to add to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
