1795 Up for your consideration is this Vintage Shortwave Broadcast Tube Radio Model 582. It Works But Doesn’t Tune In. The wooden cabinet is in good shape and is all there it does have some slight veneer conditions along with scratches and dings quite normal for a radio of this age. I would say it’s from the 1930s/40s.. The radio does fire up and the light in the station window does work. However the tuning knobs does not move the station indicator in the window. It sounds like it wants to work with a Hum and some crackling when you adjust the station knob but just doesn’t tune in. It looks like it had six preset stations. And one of the levers is missing. The cabinet has an amazing art deco design. It is quite large for a table top radio it measures approximately 16 1/4″ x 9″ x 10. Still has its original paperwork in the back but other than the model number 582 there is no maker name. Everything indicated in photographs. Thanks for taking a look.
